Dixie von Dierdorf is a beautiful 2-3 year old German Shepherd mix. Dixie and Lana came from the same family, in case you are looking for a pair. Her happy-go-lucky charm lights up every room she enters! Our best guess is that Dixie might be part lab - both from her looks and her all-around adaptable personality - what a great mix that makes! Her whole body wiggles when she greets you. She is such a joyful, people-loving sweetheart. On walks, her perky curiosity quickly settles into an easy, happy rhythm right alongside you, and she’s a gentle, friendly pal whether strolling with other pups or cruising through the yard with a happily wagging tail to explore every scent. This girl does so well with other dogs that she's currently sharing space at the rescue with several others. Not only that, she's passed her cat testing. We think our charming and versatile Dixie will do well in many homes.
